I bought a couple of new CD's yesterday. Mostly I get stuff on itunes but I wanted the actual CD's this time. I got Hanoi Rocks 'the definitive collection' (39 songs!), and the dead boys 'we have come for your children'. The funny part is that I got them at Tower Records which in my mind is notorious for being way expensive but when I got home I checked prices on Amazon and guess what? I saved $14.00 by getting them at Tower! They were both imports so I expected them to cost more. I'm just shocked that Tower had them, my bf even got a movie he has been looking for for a long time called 'showgun assasins'. I have regained my faith in Tower Records. Fuck Amoeba's LA, I can't find shit there. The berkeley one rules though.

the guy at the boneyard told me that alot of the old casinos on the strip are getting tore down to make way for condos and the new mege-plex casino/hotels that have all the big malls and stuff in them. they want everything to be like the mandalay bay, bellagio, and the wynn hotels. its sad but campy neon is on its way out of the vegas strip.
i saw on the net where the stardust is getting torn down this year and the guy at the boneyard said that he had heard that the tropicana, imperial palace, and some of the other older places were next.
at least the still have fremont street in downtown vegas. that place is where the party is every night with their foot long daiquiris and 50oz plastic footballs full of beer and the giant tv thing overhead
