my tea pot keeps going moldy. I think it's because our apartment is too damp and humid. Believe it or not it's the managements fault. They've just finished installing a 100,000 dollar fire alarm system in the builiding and it's incredibly sensitive. They have heat sensors and smoke sensors and the whole deal. It will be set off if the temperature in the apartment rises more than 8 degrees or something silly.
Anyways apparanetly it can be set off by the bathroom door being opened after having a shower, so they've actually told us to leave the door to the bathroom open while showering! setting aside for a minute the people who live with roomates or a family who may not want to leave the door open, that's just asking for a mold problem.
Sometimes i wonder about the competency of our landlords, they're incredibly nice people but sometimes i wonder how smart they really are. considering when we moved in to our place we kept coming across really tiny bugs until one day not long after we moved in here i got pissed off and decided to check under the fridge and stove to see what was going on. and low and behold under that fridge was a dead lizzard, which had become mummified. needless to say the boyfriend and I were not impressed. guess moving everything and cleaning underneath wasn't a part of inspection. anyways there's my random, probably incredibly boring story for the day.
i'm procrastinating on studying as i have a headache and don't really feel like learning about primates any more. if i get through next tuesday i'm going to have a party. now if you'll excuse me i must go rescue my cat from the cupboard.
