I got around to buying my slipknot tickets. Now if I'd get around to asking off for work. I definitely have to do that tomorrow.

I saw "Taking Lives" today. It was pretty good. And Angelina Jolie was naked in it, so you know that IS always a good thing. *Sigh* Now I've just got to go see "Eternal Sunshine..." this week. I watch way too many movies. But there really isn't much else to do.

Anyway, here is something I wrote a couple of months ago. I can't exactly remember when. I hope you like it.

burn the tree of the knowledge of good and evil
and let the fruit be caught up in the flames
turn to ashes under the wings of a dead angel
i hear the screams of locusts coming from its mouth
as laughter fills the skies for new condemnation
to cleanse the world of all but the chosen few

if you bend a cross enough
it's sure to become a swastika

to hide temptation
to find perfection
with the god blessed
and be saved and beautiful

take a martyr and stretch him out for what he is not
take what you want and leave the rest to rot

send out the insects to march and spread and devour
to lay eggs or bombs in the righteous path
until all that's left are the corpses of the wicked to deflower
as the sun begins to set on rivers of heart and blood
the worshippers raise up their guns to heaven
and give praise as they dance with the snakes

burn a cross for the word
because this is what's deserved

to seek absolution
to find destruction
with the god blessed
and be saved by ritual

take the skin and rip it when the thorns start to dig in
take a lamb and slaughter it for all the sin

it's all about purification
