i drew on Maxx's cieling
it's bootyful and shall give him nightmares lol
had a pretty rockin time last night.. i saw "the animation show" at the egyptian, which is something i would recommend everyone see: the directors of some of the toons came out afterwards and said they're taking the show on tour, so there'll be other chances to see it. basically it's 2 hours of cartoon shorts which were chosen from zillions, and there's a healthy mix spanning from hilarious to really quite mind-fuckingly surreal and thought-provoking... the last one on the list was this crazy-awesome German claymation... i won't spoil any suprizes, but let's just say it fucking rocked and i never saw anything like it... Das Rocs I think... total mindfuck... i WILL be searching for more by whoever it was that directed that... soon'z i get my ass to researchin it
so then at 9 i was left with a large gap of time before moho's party... i accidently and shamefully wound up missing mohollywood tho, which was due to a combination of my thinking there would be tons of people going and therefore plenty of opportunity for someone to pick me up from the 10 block's distance away; and my mild stingyness of paying for parking and extreme dislike of trying to park/drive/manipulate a motor vehicle in los angeles.
aside from that, i eventually tracked down bean, shortly followed by kittyla and koleeta and maxx... and i think we had a smashing time to follow their festivities
in other news, i finally learned the exact location of the burgundy room or however you spell it... for i broke all the rules and walked there from the egyptian theatre region... is that considered walking in la? it felt like it was, by the end of it... especially considering i did it in heels lol
... i got hit on by like 200 guys in between el capitain and cahuenga... thankfully it was all pretty much good-natured...
..something wierd... earlier in the evening i had the distinct sensation that i was being stared at by all the little kids i passed by... a friend of mine back in p'ville once told me that "kids always trip out on you," this made sense when i had pink hair and all that... but last night it was getting absurd; i guess kids haven't learned not to stare yet... maybe they were tourists from kentucky or idaho and i looked super wierd to them lol...
it was crazy, i would be standing at a stoplight and a family with 2 little girls would pass by-- we're talking like 5 or 6 year olds, and they'd be staring and staring at me-- i pretended not to notice but since i had dark shades on i was able to tell that they were looking back at me even when their parents pulled them by the hand away down the street... and then i would be sitting in el coco's, and a family would come in with a little boy and i could see out of the corner of my eye that he was just staring and watching me eat, and didn't look away the whole time until his mom led him out the door... like maybe age 6 or 7 or something... and it felt like i would be standing or walking near a baby carriage and i would look down and see the little toddler just staring huge-eyed up at me, and everytime i looked back it still would be staring right at me... i dunno, it was a little strange...
....sometimes my world gets wacko on me for no good reason and without asking permission first, and then goes back to normal with no explanation except perhaps that it was funny while it lasted...
(oh, and anyone that asked questions on the internship, check the journal entry b4 this...)
