So I have dry-erase markers in my bathroom, and I write myself notes on the mirror. Quotes I like. Words I intend to research. Ideas for writing in a journal.

I keep multiple journals: MySpace, SG, Blogger, and the one that I actually carry around with me. I seem to designate them to different tones or ideas, and sometimes I have an idea and cannot...

I'm a consumer of things like that, not a provider, but I totally agree with you. I understand why everyone thinks things like cell phones are overpriced (I'm one of them), but I don't consider myself being cheated for things like you mentioned. Maybe people should learn to read the fine print and avoid the stupid situations they get themselves into - better yet, they should just learn how to read.

and yes, Oldboy rocks my socks.
pastura:
i hate doing stuff like that, but today i had to call and haggle with my provider because they were trying to charge me late fees for not paying when they were supposed to be taking the payments directly out of my account. of course i was polite and all that (i know what it's like to be on the other end of those calls), but it's a pain. i did enjoy your fine print story. "yes it IS ridiculous." we were just discussing last night with the guys who work at our favorite coffeeshop that a good way to reduce the population would be to include in the fine print in some big contest: after this contest, you will be eaten. no one would read it! it'd be perfect!

i've heard a lot about Spring, Summer, etc. and i guess somehow it eluded our netflix list. it's on there now though. i must recommend Tsotsi which is in arthouse theatres now - south african, very good film.

Things are starting to get mundane, to get stale. And I don't know what to do about it. I not quite (but yes, almost) happy about everything. I feel a crossing of the line, a shedding of skin coming on.

I think it's the impending Spring. Things I'd allowed to hibernate and coming back to life. That sounds about right.

Rather than being vague and...

okay, I won't mention it. the neverending sto-ory ah-ah-ah-ah-ah... the neverending sto-ory.... can you hear it? he he, singing the theme song for you. anyway, can you recall which film is based on Hamlet but set in modern times?
pastura:
look at this - i look like i'm having a conversation with myself. update for goodness sake!

if you end up homeless and jobless in europe, something tells me you'll be the happier for it. wink besides, you can be homeless and jobless and not speak the language, too! he he.

oh, i guess i'm out of my league since i've only seen the Neverending Story movies. grew up with them and, for some reason, always like the second one better. i think it's because i liked the boy better. i'll really have to watch them again. both on VHS of course.

did i ever ask you if you've seen Oldboy? korean, but still...

How many times can I get sick within a week? After my great Friday, my healthy roommate (eats a strict and nutritious diet, exercises a lot) joked about how his Superior Immune System prevented him from cathing whatever I had.

And then the next day he came home with the flu. And then yesterday, I came home with the flu. Just in time for midterms,...

I feel like there's a little bit of hell inside me right now. In a bad way.

But on the upside I got my fatass tax refund today, so I can get a printer, and my new tires.

On the downside, I let myself get stupid over a girl. Stupid stupid stupid. Now I want to hit my roommate. But not really. I just want...

God damnit. I was just thinking yesterday how cool it is that I am managing to go to school full-time and work full-time and be doing quite well without having days off (I have had two sick days and a car-related day off work on the past two months, though). And today I even woke up bright-eyed and ready for my day at work, convinced...

oh me! that sounds awful. at least you can make ligh of it with amusing inner conversations... at least those of us reading this appreciate them.

for christmas, i got food poisoning. lost 8lbs. overnight, no joke. and i must have lost all my stomach lining or something because i still couldn't eat the rest of the week... nothing sat right. what a miserable diet!

hope you feel better soon because that's no way to celebrate a move. or hey, maybe it's your body telling you to take a freaking break, man! puke

So Mirrormask finally came out on DVD. It is incredible how Dave McKean's visual style translated into... this. I got a late start watching it (after 1 AM), so I left it paused to go to bed, and I've vowed to myself that I will not watch the rest until I comlete the paper I'm working on. In the meantime, I have the song "Close...

how'd the paper go?
pastura:
i know, i miss snow, too. we've had a lousy winter here. i had to go south to get any snow - go figure!

glad your paper went well and that you get to continue your studies. i think i'd probably need a breather after a paper like that, but hey, whatever floats your boat!

and it can be fun to move. too bad you have to use your WHOLE vacation to do it, but that means you're getting a new place, right? that's fun! i like to decorate and arrange stuff, so maybe it's just me who finds it fun. i know the grunting/moving/dropping/shoving part isn't nearly as fun as the last minute touches. but hopefully you can celebrate heartily since you won't have class the next day.

Woo! It's Valentine's Day! I'm dating someone, but not so much that I consider her "my valentine." But that's okay; I rewarded myself by skipping my English class this morning. I wanted to show my affection (for myself) and spend a little extra time in bed with the one person I really, truly care about.

Lately, I've been living on a pretty shallow level, and...

Long time no this. Having been withough personal internet for the past sixteen months has made SG access rather limited (especially after getting called out by the HR department at work). But things have turned around completely and I now have a new apartment, with new internet access.

Life is good.

So here is what has turned around:
A) No more suicide attempts. Somehow through...

damn, what happened to my favourite SGs? I swear, I have got to get my own internet; this long-time-between-access thing is really crap.

oh well, in news: i am making it happen. i'm getting my ass through school (financially), and getting the apartment (with internet, by god), and designing tattoos for folks and smoking and feeding nearly a hundred animals daily and cleaning house and...

What have I done lately?

I got the tattoo, finally.
I decided to move to Murfreesboro, TN and go back to MTSU.
I spent way too much time watching House, M.D.
I talked to Katie because she needed to.
I listened to Siddhartha on my iPod.
I met somebody that thinks like I do.
