I got the money from selling off my MonoMachine in the bank today. Now I have to figure out which of the many, many things on my "to do" list should get it. I think it might be time to get an estimate on replacing the electrical service panel, which is an obstacle both to my music and carpentry ambitions. OTOH, there's so much other shit that needs work and a few things that I probably shouldn't buy yet but are testing my will - e.g., this.
I've been working like crazy lately. Staying in until 1 am has been standard the past week. The sick thing is that I'm happy about it. It's nice to be challenged again, though maybe not quite this much. It's made me miss that SG event Friday night and kept me from menial shit like doing laundry. It would be nice to get the balance right for the first time in a long time.

For the HL2 level I'm working on, I'm using just the standard HL2 mapping software (Hammer 2.0; bundled with the SDK) and the stock textures. Still to be done is more texture work, lighting tweaks, and I think it needs more physics objects to play with -- otherwise we might as well be playing the original half-life. In any case though, it's a lot of fun, and the CAD stuff is good practice.
