long weekends are great but packed with so much I feel like coming to work is a welcome break from all the food and socializing, 3 straight days of picnics and parties, I really desire more activity, some hiking, volleyball, canoeing or something. I can't just sit around for 20 hours and talk about the same shit over and over, smoking and drinking, it really works me over. I've got a great set of friends but there is something that is just not matching up, I need more straight friends in town, all my guys are spread out, i just want to kick it with my homeys once in a while. ahh well
for those wondering, the ceviche was a hit, although I thought it was a bit off, there's terrible sea food here and of course I waited till the last minute, so I had to use grouper, (not a great fish to be cooked in acid) actually kind of a tough fish best cooked sautee and roasted, so it had to sit in the acid for a bit longer than I wanted and was very strong with lemon, but the habenero fire came through just enough, for me it was perfect, for others I think a little too hot, the roasted pinapple dessert I was very proud of, a dish I've never done so I was a bit wooried but it came through with mango syrup, fresh mango juice, and luvich/mint mascarpone, just perfect

i went to a nil8 show at the double door in chicago!!!! This was the first show i've ever been to there, i'm still blown away.
i'd say you could pass for a mennonite at best.
