"Me and You and Everyone We Know" is going to be the next huge under ground film hit. Last year it was Napolean Dynamite, proudly it made it commercially, not since John Hughs have we seen teen cinema like that.
Miranda July has put together the most fascinating, brilliant and hilarious film I have seen in years. This film is about the tragedies and comedic triumphs of the digital era, love and sex as interpreted by all ages, the disconnect between poeple via interaction on the internet (there are a couple of hilarious seens where a 6 year old is having a provacative conversation with an unknown in a chat room) and ultimately it's about Miranda July's art and her perception of life. Believe me there is no other more creative or light hearted out there.
It is only being shown at Festivals now, so if you can get to one. It has been recently invited to the Cannes, and it is my prediction that it takes the Grand Jury Prize. Though, this means that you won't be able to see this film commercially for at least 6 months.
