Spent most of the holiday with Jess's family in Bloomington, I haven't eaten so well in a coons age. The peruvians whippped up some (and this is all phoenetically spelled cause, well, i ain't Hispanic) Chupaday Cammarones (this is a sea food stew, very very good, starts off with a yellow chile base, builds with rice adn pieces of corn on the cob, shrimp and a touch of oregano. I helped make the Biscochitos (sort of like a biscotti in that it is a sweet bread with clove as a spice but it is much softer, her grandmother usually makes these but her hands are too weak to work the dough properly, so she worked out all the volumes and I worked out all the dough, they were shaped into long circles and rose as little loaves of sweetness. I have found however that Peruvian bread or most of it is very bland, biscochitos are eaten with cream cheese so that helps a lot.

As a surprise to Jessica and her family I brought over a bottle of Champagne and soem caviar (there was only one place in town that sold the stuff, foreign caviar is banned in the US because of the endangering of sturgeons, but you can find US sturgeon caviar, pretty tasteless...luckily her Uncle had brought a bunch last time he was visiting from Sweden so we grubbed on a lot of fish eggs and got bubbly with her aunts and grandmother.

Then it was off to Uncle Rubens for Peruvian tamales, they put chicken, and egg, and a kalamata olive in their tamales they were perfectly prepared, Tortas, and Caldo de Pollo was also available among many other very sweet things...

anyway, as you can see I appreciate the holidays mostly for the effort people put into preparing food. I got some decent gifts but I won't bore you with that.

small facts about me for today:

1. I smell great.
2. I wore a brown velvet blazer to work today.
3. I'm going to eat Thai for lunch.

Nip/Tuck is NOT at all the same as SEX and the City dear boy. I saw Sex in the City once and I must say it was very gross! 40+ year old women fucking strangers every week....ewwwww.

when i succeed in making a pair of bottoms, i'll get back to you. but basically it will depend on the cost of the materials (yarn, ribbon, thread) and any tools that i don't already have, and it will depend on how long it takes me to make it. also i'll need to know the measurements of the woman who will be wearing it & she really can't be any bigger than an A cup because i have no clue how big boobies work (as in - will a triangle of yarn & some ribbon really hold in a full sized boob? or would there be a significant risk of "wardrobe malfunction"?) smile
