<sigh>
My good friend is leaving today for her one-week vacation to Prague. I know she's been dying to go back, and that she'll have a ball, but I'm gonna miss her!
In other news, I have been a getting-things-done ninja lately. I've worked out a schedule of payments to my old college that will (hopefully) pay them what I owe them so that they will release my transcripts before the application deadline at URI for next fall. This is a huge thing for me. I've been out of school for like 4 years, but I'm so excited about going back. Well, that and terrified.
Still, it feels really, REALLY good to get my life in order.
The only thing that sucks about going to URI is that I don't know if I'll be able to bus it down there. There is a bus that goes to the campus, but it runs roughly every hour or hour and half, which isn't quite reliable enough for my tastes. Five minutes late and I miss a class? No thank you.
I really don't want to get a car. I can't stress this enough. I've been racking my brain for alternatives. I had even considered getting a motorcycle instead, but that's not really a feasible option when it's snowing, and this is New England. My other idea was to try and find another student living in Providence and driving down for classes every morning, and just pay them gas money to carpool. Even that would be unreliable, though. I think my plan now is to get a bike for when the weather permits, and suck it up and take the bus when it's bad.
Any other suggestions?

... And yeah I have no clue either, my car is over 10 years old so I know Ill have to look into a new one at some point. They are such a pain because of there size and paying for gas is such a bitch. Looks like you have narrowed it down as best you can for now, bus it, bike it or car pool. I figure car pool might be a good deal if you can find someone who is pretty reliable
