I had a really, really good interview today! I'm very excited. I won't hear back for like two weeks, though.
A friend of mine works for this financial institution, and he forwarded my resume to his bosses and the HR department. He told me they were hiring for two basic positions, and explained to me what I'd need to do in each one (stuff I could do with one arm tied behind my back). I figured they were both entry-level.
So anyways, they called me back about one of the positions, and I interviewed for it today. Turns out it wasn't entry level at all (but still within my scope of education and experience, thank goodness). It's a "Senior Position" or something like that, and it makes about $7k/year more than I was expecting.
So now I'm basically crossing my fingers and going "pleasepleaseplease" till I hear back from them. I have a really good feeling, though.
I'm still trying to get temp work till then, because it's going to be two weeks till I hear anything, and then a few weeks till I would even get paid. I'm starting to nervously scrape the bottom of the barrel. I may have to ask a friend of mine for a loan, which makes me really nervous. I hate borrowing money. Blargh.
