I finally had "the talk" with my mom and told her what I do for a living. She was concerned for my safety, but we talked about it for awhile, and I think she's ok with it. It's nice to not have anything standing between us. I feel like I could tell her anything.

She took that last one the worst. She's born and raised in New York. There was a small shouting match, but I think we'll pull through.
