Yay! I'm going to Seattle this weekend! I bought the ticket last night. I'm so excited, it's going to be so much fun. I'm getting together with my friends from college.
On more embarrassing news, I ate it on stage yesterday. Really bad. Flat on my ass. And busted my shoes. Ripped the leather right out of the sole.
Professional that I am, I didn't throw a temper tantrum and run offstage, but it REALLY, REALLY sucked. I did the only possible thing to recover when everyone was staring at me and waiting for a reaction: I burst out laughing, threw my arms in the air and went "TA DAH!" The guys laughed and one guy held up a napkin with "9.5" written on it.
So I got up and smoothed out my gown, but then I had to finish my set barefooted, which sucked. The guys were really nice about it, though. I was sitting on the side of the stage talking to one of the guys, since I was embarrassed to dance and didn't know what to do without heels on, and he was like, "You don't need shoes to be sexy!"
He was right, too. I'm a better dancer than that. So instead of dancing on the stage, where I would have looked short and funny, I did my whole set on the counter on the edge of stage, and it didn't turn out too bad!

i'm sure you looked cute dancing barefoot. as someone who trips all the time in sneakers and flip-flops, i am always amazed when i see a girl walk, let alone dance, in those crazy high heels.
