My parents are split up and I live with my mom permanently until I get my own place. So I rarely see my dad, maybe once a month for dinner. Not like it's his choice, he is a busy working man. Anyways, what made me happy this week is the fact that my dad invited me to go to his lake house with him and his wife for the weekend and just get away. It was nice to relax in the sun and go fishing by the dock. It made me truly happy to be back at a place that I loved being as a kid.
