Summer time gets so hot and humid in Australia which means I'm often having to wear lighter material that tends to be a little looser, shows more skin and is relatively simple and laid back. This can make it harder though to integrate the goth/alt style and aesthetics that I would love to wear all year round but sometimes that's just too heavy for summer . I get around this by just keeping things simple and minimalistic. I loveeee wearing black so in complete defiance to the sun I'll wear it anyway but always in very breathable fabrics. Black shorts become a staple. Sadly all my heavy black boots will have to take a back seat till it gets cooler and instead I'll wear sneakers or the controversial and commonly despised Birkenstock. Also hair and makeup has to be much more care free and simple so usually a simple BB cream and a little bit of eyeliner, anything more will just make me worry about it melting down my face! Attached in the photo is me in what I'd wear typically during summer , I like to call it Summer goth. If anyone reads this let me know if this dilemma comes up everytime summer comes round and whether you have to carefully adapt your style/aesthetics too ☺️
P.s I have more makeup on here than I would on typical day which is what I do when I'm wanting to feel more glamorous. Under eye powder is key!
