Well, I promised much updatedness after the MSI show.
The show was really good. Seemed that the opening bands could have used a little work. Marcu_s suggested a better sound mix, which seemed about right. I couldn't hear a word the first two bands said really, and as I've stated elsewhere, if I can't hear the lyrics, it's a big turnoff to me.
In all fairness though, the first band's female singer was incredibly high energy and alot of fun to watch, and KillRadio was really tight.
MSI rocked the house, and the pit went crazy for the entire show. I found myself gaining new appreciation for MSI, as I watched the stage antics that go along with their very unique music. Somehow the whole thing made more sense, watching them live.
MSI stuck around and signed autographs for like an hour or so afterwards, and PunkNiteMike and visionfromacrash both got all four autographs from the band members.
All in all, good fun. People at the show seemed so young, again a reminder that yes, 27 is a lot older than 18. And actually, this was an all ages show, which started quite early, so the crowd was even younger than it would normally have been.
There were actually several other SG people there, but they were so busy moshing that we didn't get a chance to talk to them. We did run into Howard at the end, and I gave him my best possible directions to I-70. I wonder how that went?
Talk to you later. Might go to sleep soon.
Tim.
