Alright, so I'm going to do just a real quick update.
I've been running around on SG, trying to keep up a bit better. I need to check my flist and see who has updated their journal recently, but other than that I'm pretty much done here for the night.
I had some stuff to say about politics.
First off, I'm bisexual, and I'm a very unorthodox Christian, and people tend to right off expect me to be some kind of socialist. In fact I've had people try to joke on me about the whole thing.
Funny thing is, I don't consider myself a democrat. I tend to think that the Democrats are as screwed up as the Republicans. While Bush seems to get the grass-roots, Kerry certainly tried to act grass-roots, and he is basically one of the richest men in the country. I find this kind of posturing laughable.
I feel that I am not represented by my government, most of whom are in the pockets of corporations and lobbyists who have no concern for me.
I love America, which happens to be the first place on the planet where it was assumed that people were born with equal rights. I tend to think that people like to blame America for everything, when it is really a bunch of corrupt pirates fucking things up(look at the UN and the oil for food program) and not really a nation fucking things up at all.
I am liberal enough to get upset when millions die in Africa, and conservative enough to believe that there are some things which all the American foreign policy and money won't stop from happening.
I happen to be in the weird position of being on the middle of most issues. For example, I don't like abortion at all, having seen what it did to a friend of mine, but I do think it should be legal. And so on.
But to be honest, I don't see myself as a waffler. I'm very opinionated. Most people, like I said, assume right away that I'm on the far left. I'm sort of a radical centrist, if that makes any sense, and that is not something that makes sense to most people.
I'm not sure if I explained myself very well. Politics is one thing I find hard to write about. I generally avoid the topic.
Anyway, I'll talk to people later. See everybody at the Upcoming events. I'll be at the Fusion tomorrow! See you guys there!
Tim.
