I think my thermostat is broke. It can't be much over 64 in the house, and the heat isn't running. I've got my cape on my shoulders, and my fleece blanket over my legs.
The cape is an interesting story. I wanted a serape, which is cape-like, and we could never find one, or find a pattern to make one. Mom ordered me this cape with celtic knots on it, which I just love, but which I'm not sure I will ever wear out in public. It's warm, it looks good on me, but I think it looks kind of queer. Great for home and my friends, not so great for everyone else.
Guys who don't wear too-short shorts can probably identify with my feelings.
As has been noted, I am defensive about the whole queer thing. I really am. Other than good taste in clothes and a habit of complimenting women when they get a haircut, I'd say I'm pretty butch. But I've gotten tired of being called a faggot. Its been going on since grade-school.
Interesting note: If you look in Webster's you will see that faggot is also a word for a bundle of sticks used as kindling. The reason its an appellation for gay people is that they used to use faggots of wood to burn homomsexuals to death. Thanks to all the meatheads for calling me a bigoted violent word for 16 years. And I know you all voted for Bush too, as he is a real homosexual rights activist. Bastards.
Anyway, Dropkicks are ok, but Avail and Mclusky are better. Thought it was worth a try though. Thinking I might have enough punk music for an mp3 CD now. And might buy more anyway. Social Distortion will be my next buy.
So PLEASE PEOPLE RECOMMEND MUSIC! I am widening my horizons, expanding my vision, and so forth, and would like recommendations.
So far I've gotten from people's recommendations: Avail 4 AM Friday, Mclusky My pain and sadness is more painful and sad than yours. Also I plan to buy Nihil by KMFDM momentarily. Otherwise, tell me cool stuff! Later.
Current Mood: cheerful
Current Music: Homeward Bound-Dropkick Murphys-The Gang's All Here
