Boring summer between undergrad and grad school is driving me online addicition. The clock tics on and yet I refuse to go to bed until something exciting happens, which it never does, resulting in my staying up horribly late for no reason, night after night. You would think given all this time I could accomplish something. Perhaps give my violin a little of the attention it's been lacking all year. Poor baby. But no.
I just started The Biogrpher's Tale by AS Byatt. Byatt writes the most wonderfully geeky books about literature scholars. Or, in this case, a scholar who decides to give up postmodern criticism cold turkey and become a biographer. As we all should. My reaction to this book altrernates between hope and dread. What do you do if you leave theory behind?
Anyway, I appologize for the lack of pictures. I have neither scanner nor digital camera, and am thus relying on pictures other people take of me at events. All of which, apparently, are with my girlfriend. She has a digital camera AND a scanner, so hopefully...well, I can at least get her to send me some of the pictures she's taken of me thus far. I've got plenty of her. None of me. Figures.

Are you entering Grad Skoo tout suite?? If so, then, good gawd, relax, read junkie books (as in mindless and not William Burroughs, but that's ok too), and do as much frivolous stuff as possible. Get your caffeine tolerance down.
And yes. Grad school right away. And trust me, with some of the profs I'm going to have, I've got to start cramming now. Which isn't to say I won't get a lot of junk in in the middle
