WHOOHOO!!!
*bouncing around like a madman with two tickets to see Howard Shore conduct the Columbus Symphony Orchestra in the Lord of the Rings music set*
WHOOFRICKINHOO!!
*ahem* Had to get that out of my system. I thought the music in LOTR was some of the most spectacular modern composition I've heard in awhile. And it's been so long since I went and saw an orchestra live! I'm so excited!
I have two tickets for late March... trying to decide who to take with me.
I'm headed to Laurelville today to visit Tiff's aunt and uncle and HOPEFULLY borrow their camera for my photo shoot! After that, just have to pick a theme and location. Hope you all don't mind a vanilla body, I still need my tattoo artist. On the plus side, I shave.
I think the mistake with that person was the fact that I felt a connection there... not romantic as I fear she might think, but that of someone that I've known for years... I tend to react with feeling rather than thought a fair deal of the time. While I hope she understands that I'm sorry I made her uncomfortable, I don't regret the compliments I gave her... they're more forensic than she might think. It's not a matter of trying to crawl in her pants, it's a matter of wanting to make those I like feel good.
To the future. To tough lessons leared.
Here's the promised poem finally.
Living Galatea
5/19/00
So like an ivory statue
Is my love.
I examine her from all sides
With a secret admirer's furtive glances.
Plucking my heart strings
Like a siren's harp,
Her soft melodies
Reverberate through my being.
So perfectly proportioned,
Defining strength,
Beauty,
Intelligence,
And even the cold, antiseptic marble walls of the room
Grow warm and melt in her presence.
But I must leave here and weep,
As the velvet ropes of circumstance
Keep me from touching her.
