Insanity.
That's all I can say to describe Christmas. People pushing, screaming, trampling others, whining, cursing, rioting... all for a fleeting moment of half-hearted thanks once the gifts are opened. We are anxious to sate the desires of our loved ones in order to ensure another year of being in their thoughts.
I wish that people would all gather in one place so I could collectively shake them and scream, "Are you fucking mad?!" There's no need for all this. The spirit of the holiday is all but dead.
The store I work in is far busier than normal, so hopefully I can get some more hours. Ironic, I sit here and bitch about people's attitudes around Christmas, then desire the work hours because of said attitudes.
Saw a vampire movie last night called Reign in Darkness. Had I had any more energy then, I would have heckled the film all the way through. BAD.
Off to work.
