I'm back!!
As a drunken Spaniard once said..."Let me explain. No, that would take too long--Let me sum up."
In the past several months, I have...
- Been downsized by the new owners of my former employers.
- Had an amazingly intense relationship that was sadly all too brief. Mostly one non-stop weekend, and then...
- Renewed my commitment to keeping a ten-foot pole between myself and wishy-washy divorcees.
- Been paying the bills by commuting from Austin to Princeton, NJ every week to do consulting work for the company that used to own my former employers.
- Consequently had a very minimal social life due to the insane weekly jetset lifestyle.
- Had no unrestricted Internet access until recently...hence, no SG.
- Acquired a sexy new 17" Powerbook, which along with a pile of portable music gadgets enables me to make music to entertain myself in New Jersey. (Because god knows there's not much else to do here.)
- Forgotten my SG password, but got a shiny new one from the lords and ladies of SGHQ, which along with the Powerbook, the WiFi card, and the free broadband from my new hotel, means I can make my triumphant return!
So, hello again! Gil, Junior, Cat, Pix, Morgan, astrogirl, echobunny, Elise, and all the rest of my favorite SG people...I've missed you all!
It's going to take forever to catch up with all the new people on the site. Ahh...such exquisite torture.

p.s. Since the poem from the last entry has been sitting here for ages, I suppose I should provide an update on Mary. No romantic development, but we are still quite good friends. And friendship to me is not the sort of thing one qualifies by saying "only" or "just" or "merely". It is what it is, and abundantly so.
