Well this past Monday, Jan 17th, I had an emergency oophorectomy. For those of you who are not up-to-date on your medical terminology it means surgical removal of one or both ovaries. Due to Ovarian Cancer at the young age of 24, I had 3/4 of my right Ovary removed. There was some major complications during surgery like my going into cardiac arrest and bleeding out all over the operating table. But as you can see I am still alive and kicking. Well not kicking just yet. I am still recovering and barely able to walk down the hall to my bathroom. I also did this all by myself. I haven't told any of my family for both of my parents are sick and need to concentrate on themselves for once. I had to get a cab to the hospital and had no visitors. Lucky enough my charm worked on the doctor so he kept me company. Well it is so sad that I moved here to Turlock in August of last year and still haven't really gone out and met anyone due to being sick. I hope it gets better from here because I am starting to get cabin fever. But I must say that if it wasn't for my dear Sacred Mists family, I would have lost it a long time ago. Oh well. Life goes on. Whether you have a Dr.Pepper or not. =)
Edited to say that I HAVE gone out and made some friends when I first moved here. Or what I thought were friends. But I had a relationship with a much older man that is involved with one of the local Pagan groups and got fucked over. Now where are these so-called friends? Yeah thought so...
