The weekend .....
Saturday, a half-hearted attempt at Christmas shopping. Had planned on going to Kingston but decided to go to Guildford instead.
I love that town, especially at Christmas. Bought one item (I actually bought two gifts but I fancied having one of them myself ). Had a very sticky cake in a coffee shop, made a phone call and made my phone sticky - duh.
Sunday ......
a pretty good day - I did some decluttering: sorting & shifting stuff into the spare wardrobe. Now I can reach the end window, my cassettes & my guitars without having to climb or (more usually) knock over a pile of books, records, you name it, first. Next weekend I hope to find my bed.
Today I froze my fingers solid whilst gardening. then to the dentist to have my porcelain crown fitted. I can now chew on both sides of my mouth again. 75: my subscribing to a private dental scheme has already more than paid for itself. Look: perfect smile
This evening I delivered some mail to a former tenant, & took a Christmas card, which I had 'added to' a bit, round to my favourite friend. We have the same sense of humour so I know she'll like it.
