Rant, while I think of more 'journally' stuff to post.
I saw something in the papers this morning that made me so bloody angry. A young girl recovering from cancer has had her newly grown hair set on fire by what was charitably described as a 'bully'. Vermin would be a more apt description. I guess 'it' will get a light sentence, particularly as the scumbag is only 14, as no major physical harm (other than the poor girl's hair) was inflicted. Perhaps I am not taking a very mature 'line' here but I would certainly like to see harm done to that little cunt.

i also heard a report that made me feel sick
a young girl also recovering from cancer or maybe lukemia was spat on and called a freak by around 30 or so other students
they should've all been expelled instantly, there should be no excuse for such abhorent ignorance
and it was a good call when that head (at another school) suspended 40 pupils the other week over the bullying that was caught on cctv

it's kind of a double edge sword
there's this paranoia parents have regarding their kids
(in some cases, rightly so - but mostly caused by frenzied media)
and then you have the increadibly calous vindictive actions of kids that shock and apaul us all like what we've just been talking about
hopefully suspending 40 kids send out a no compromise stance on bullying, you can't expect every child to suddenly become the hero but they should be encouraged to go get help, not just stand and watch
i think it's ileagal in Sweden or it might be you have to help a policeman if they're in trouble ?
