My tasks for next week. Collect my slides from the lab & take my last lot of films to be processed. Then, two items I keep not getting round to
- I must move my ass & bloody well get around to: choosing a new mobile to replace lost one and choose a digital camera. I use the word choose deliberately because I am so bloody fussy - I like to weigh up all the features each one has & hten go for the one with the best spec for the price. When i should just let go and GET THE BLOODY THINGS.
Is this a male thing or do women get this anal over their elctronic gadgets too?

On balance last week was pretty good. On Wednesday evening I got a comment from Doplex3000 telling me that that my application to join SGUK had been granted. Big YAY!! No fillings from my dentist and then being accepted first go, when I had resigned myself to it taking a while longer. Wednesday was an especially good day.
Unfortunately Thursday morning wasnt quite so. Problem was that whilst online on Wed I drank a whole bottle of wine. I had to be up by 5pm with only four hours sleep behind me: a throbbing head, only half awake and the feeling I might puke at any moment (I did later). It was *Friday* morning before I began to feel normal again.
I have learned to be more sensible than that with drink through experience - so what the fuck happened there?
No drink at all on Fri (thatll teach me).
My Friday evening, up until 8pm was instead spent in the rain, perched on top of a 6ft high wall, cutting bits off a small tree. No this wasnt my way of showing penance, I was paid to do it but I can come up with more sociable things to do on a Friday.
Saturday afternoon was spent variously standing or squatting with my head tilted to one side looking at the used CDs in Record & Video exchange at Notting Hill. I bought five but non of them were recent (Slipknot? Who they?): The Pretenders Viva El Amor one by an 80s rock band called Gun, I already had one of theirs, an HM compilation and two classical CDs (Mozart & Camille St Saens if anyones interested). I hardly ever buy new CDs. What like about those shops is that every week they take 1 off the price of anything unsold. I begin to take interest when their CDs arrive at 7 but Ive got some real steals from there in the past.
