The short version: My lack of activity is partly down to time but mostly it's my fucking browser (the new Firefox if you're interested) &/or my computer, which I know needs more memory and some of my photo's, porn & music shifting to media I intend getting but can't yet afford. I'll come to that shortly.
The long version:
Normal service will be resumed ASAP. Reason to be happy, however, is that on Jan 3rd I can get my hands on a quite respectable amount from my pension fund with a former employer. Even after paying off a few outstanding debts it will allow me to to splash out a bit. A camera, maybe two, another guitar (that I don't need but am already playing in my sleep), a fucking loud amp and some serious travel (first time in ten years) are in the offing. If this part goes off it will certainly include my return to California, my 3rd visit to New York and a few other places in between such as Chicago. And a trip out to Australia. Only slightly frustrating is that I can't start booking until Jan 3rd. I know all about not counting chickens ... but I'm counting the days. 
Last weekend my parents celebrated their 51st anniversary & I also met my 4 months old great niece. Sobering thought that I'm old enough to be a grandfather but fuck it! My parents absolutely adore their Great granddaughter
