I almost got into a fight on my own doorstep earlier. Some guys were trying to sell teatowels & stuff door to door. The would-be vendor passed me a laminated ID and saidthat it was on behalf of a homeless charity but that they got a cut of the takings. He may have been genuine. May. The thing was that he used techniques used by crooked salesmen. He passed the card to me before i had even properly opened the door then put his tray down inside the doorway to prevent me closing it. He kept talking & wouldn't take no for an answer, going from 'pushy' to 'pushy & pleading', then trying to make me feel guilty for not wanting to buy. When that failed he tried "I've been tramping up and down streets all day; It's alright for you in your big comfy house". I said more firmly that i wasn't interested & started to shut the door, pushing his tray back across the step - so he then becomes aggressive. Bad idea. I won't put up with idiots abusing & trying to intimidate me on my own step. As he moved forward I jabbed him in the chest & I was sure I could have taken him if he tried anything, but I think his mate (next door) told him to cool it & he backed off, picked up his tray and stepped back. His parting comment was drowned by the sound of the door slamming almost in his face.
Anyway! Enough of that ......

Cherry xxxxx.
I never got my appraisal To be honest I didn't really expect it to happen when he said it would! I shall try and speak to him on Monday to see when it will be, but seeing as I'm on morning shifts next week and he isn't it's more than likely gonna be a couple of weeks if he doesn't do it there and then on Monday (which is unlikely as we have a stock-take and large delivery )
Thanks for joining the Secret Santa list Need a few more people to join it as there's only 5 so far including me
Love and kisses
