Since my arrival, I have been working a lot of hours. I also had time to take pictures. If you are looking at remaking your bathroom, use this model :
Easy to clean and lot of room to play with the significant other(s).
The food is a little different, when you ask for a fish, you get a fish :
and you can have a live squid as extra :
The waiter will roll the squid around a stick, sauve the head then help you take it whole. You just have to chew and chew and chew.
This is the small city I live in, Namyang, south of Seoul, west of Suwon :
Namyang sometimes has very dense fogs, do you happen to have a fog knife ?
No trip in Korea would be complete without visits to Seoul, the capital, home to a quarter of the 40 millions South Koreans. From the Bampo area south of the Hansan River :
The stadium of the 1988 Olympics :
Seoul train station :
And a district of downtown at night :
One of the multiple museum is the War Memorial, dedicated to the war history of the Korean peninsula. This is the Clock Tower, the clock on the right is stopped at 04h00, June 25th, 1950, the day the North invaded the South :
The other clock is still ticking and will be stopped on the Day of Reunification because technically, the two Koreas are still at war.
This is the Statue of Brothers, depicting the reunion of a brother that is an officer in the South Korean Army and the other that is a soldier in the North Korean Army :
That monument was dedicated 1600 years ago, in 414 AD, to King Kwanggaet'o :
Part of the exterior exhibit, airplanes, tanks and missiles :
And that piece is a Iraki SCUD missile from the Gulf War :
On a more peaceful note, this is one of the halls dedicated to Korean soldiers that gave up their life on the battlefield since the Korean War :
And those are the flag of the countries that help South Korea during the war :
