I am back after a long absence. In between, I handed over my master thesis on finding leads in the Arctic sea ice and I found a new job in San Francisco.

I am quite happy with the job and the arriving appartment the company found has a *%&&/?"?%/%*(()$?*/ awsome view on San Francisco Bay (I will be posting pictures later).

I got in Whitehorse at midnight, at the very beginning of February 23rd, 2007. My contact was waiting for me and instead of going straight to bed (Whitehorse time zone is Pacific, Montral's is Eastern, do the math), we had some volunteer work to do : three Westjet charters were landing ten minutes from each other and athlete's luggage needed to be distributed.

My current profile picture was taken during the 2006 summer somewhere in the Alaska Inside Passage. I was outside, on the ninth deck forward balcony of the Ms Oosterdam, an Holland America ship, and it was windy, very, very windy.

I was in New York City the last two days for an interview. I now know the official anthem of Manhattan : Cacophony in Horn Major.

My contract in Seattle was terminated this morning. I will be back in Montral this Monday, actually just in time to see the SG show again.

I was told in my English classes that the word 'a' becomes 'an' when the word following it begins with a vowel. Today I learnt that when the word begins with a long 'u', 'a' stays 'a'. It is 'a unicorn' but 'an umbrella'.

I will go to sleep more knowledgeable. Do any one know other exceptions ?
