I return...from my vacation. I was gone all week so no updates were put forth in my absence. My best friend came to town and had mucho fun. it has been almost four and a half years since i have seen her and look at how are we have come. me a dental assistant studying to get in to grad school, her a teacher working at a bar in her free time. but now the place is empty except for me and my books and i am very happy about that.
the blue bonnets are out and the texas highways are lit up with color again for a few more weeks. sarah vowell is speaking at bookpeople next week. fantomas is playing next week as well as kronos quartet...it i can afford them i shall make the trek to austin for both (except if they are on the same night). Nomeansno kicks it here on the 23rd and mc chris is playing a week from monday....WHAT TO DO?
went and saw sin city today and was quite impressed. It is the comic book on the big screen...in motion. it was a faithful adaptation and one worthy of a fanboys praise. rented spring summer fall winter spring for this evening and am currently deciding on what to have for dinner.
i miss the pope. not a religous person nor one that subscribes to a faith news letter but i always wanted to be the big hatted guy. now that he is gone it seems no one can fill that spot. he brought the catholic chruch out of some of it's dark age practices and lived a well rounded life. hopefully he is kickin' it with baby jesus away from corrupted past popes of yore.
i think i will put on some mstislav rosttropovich playing dvorak's concerto in b minor. have a good weekend, everybody, i am glad to be back.
