Well predictably the gig in London was terrific !
It took five hours to get there due to the road works and 50mph zones!
I parked in central London right over the river Thames, it felt so cool to be in a major capital city at night and the vibe despite the freezing weather was great!
Inside the venue there were the typical jazz heads posing around, you know the avant garde type, (I say avant garde a clue right?) it was dead swanky leather sofas and all.
I was front row of the balcony so great view and I really did get a rush when he came on stage, he just has such a brilliant skill at creating musical tension within micro seconds!
The drummer, Vinnie Colauita who normally plays with Sting was off the hook, exhibition stuff, the band where on stage for two hours in total and it was worth the travelling time, ticket price etc, etc, etc.
I was soooooooooooooo inspired and still am! On the down side it made me think of all the creative stuff that perhaps I should be doing instead of pursuing a bloody 9-5!
Hmmmm, food for thought indeed!
On other stuff I have my psychotherapy clinical exam tomorrow.
I feel calm although I think I may get a last minute blast of anxiety we'll see.
I am being filmed giving an assessment session with an actor and I will be told if I have passed or failed there and then. I'm sure I will be cool after all I do this for a job.
Life seems so fucking complicated these days, i.e. bought a new printer, install it (took an hour), call the company to register the guarantee, figure out how the fuck it works! Call a company and get the automatic voice giving me options and options!
Even buying petrol takes an age because we all (almost) pay by card and then there's all the stuff you can buy there too.
I'm not pissed off I just feel like I need a simple life man!
OK, finally, here's a song I came across in a US chain of bars called "Howl at the moon" they are awesome duelling piano bars http://www.howlatthemoon.com/
It was played by one of the pianists, but this clip is a girl miming. Sorry if you already know it and sorry if it's a bit crude!
Love yers loads FF.
