Any last words???? HULK SMASH !!!!
I missed the most recent Hulk movie at the cinema and bought the DVD, loved it (much better than I was expecting) and it's been living in my comuter DVD drive so I flick it on lots and as you can see I go around quoting lines from it, well, words from it!
I grew up loving Marvel and I still have like 30 year old comics that I bought when I was a kid. A local antique collectables shop has like a 3 foot high Spiderman (only 50) which they display on the pavement (sidewalk) just to tantalise me!
Anyway, other stuff, I am seriously under-challenged chaps. Not wishing to pimp myself up here but I was told about 2/3 years ago that I could spin lots of plates, and yes, I think it's true, I can.
So, what I'm finding after 23 years of working for myself is that being an employee is relatively straightforward.
I mean like paid holidays and going on training days etc, etc.
Also, as I have said before my Psychotherapy training is not firing me up at the moment.
It's funny really 'cos I feel that being a musician for 20 plus years and now working in therapy I feel like I have had two of the greatest jobs in the world and I'm not sure which one I actually regard myself as, I know I'm both, but if I had to choose just one as my "profession" that would be tricky.
The (my) music in these understimulated times has come to my rescue !
I started working on a Piano project earlier this year and composed 22 short pieces, like 1-3 minutes long.
All simple and written for quiet times. Anyway, these pieces lived in the studio I co-own for 3-4 months and I could feel myself getting demotivated for this project.
About two weeks ago my longest standing friend (31 years) e-mailed me to ask how the music was going and I'm so glad he did 'cos it was the encouragement I needed.
I'm now finalising the project and I hope to release it locally this year.
So, once again I realise that I fucking love music so much!
I have always said that I feel it has the access code, Peter Gabriel said that music bypasses our filters and hits us on an emotional level that other art forms just don't/can't.
God, congratulations if you're still reading this! I started off with no idea what I would write about!
OK, well onto more crucial stuff, you may or may not know about my underwear obsession and yes...... TADA........
I'm especially into the pink and black!
Well, its either 7:21 or 8:21 a.m. as I write not sure the clocks have changed.
I'm off to the swanky bars with the leather sofas today for alcohol, food and football!
Thanks for reading, be nice to yourself, you deserve it.
Lots of love, FF.
