Long time, No update. As always apologies, but xmas shopping is a bitch, I have spent every night after work this week at the shops trying to finish my xmas shopping. Sunday I went to perth to try get it done, and ended up buying myself a "Army of Darkness" zippo lighter, Bruce Campbell fans be jealous, and a few cd's. I always find better presents for me than anyone else.
Saw Steam Boy tuesday night, at the Luna Outdoor cinemas in leederville, perthies know what i'm talking about. Was pretty epic, long and involved strong themes of science/war/power but also very action packed, to the point where i was on the edge of my canvas deck chair with excitement.
Though I'm not sure if I would put it up there with akira, while they both deal with the themes of weapons of destruction, and human choice, I love Akira more for being set in the future of tokyo, and thus a possibility, as opposed to steamboy which is set in the english past, thus having already occurred. Spewing ya couldn't come Mark, bunch of savages in this town.
I really need some sleep before work tommorow, which promises to be very busy and stressful, seeing as it is the last banking day before the xmas long weekend, and we are open an hour later than usual.
I just wanna say thanks to everyone for keeping in touch, and still reading and posting on my journal even though I lack the time, to keep as up to date on it as I should be.
A Merry Xmas and A happy new year to you all.
I hope santa or whoever you believe brings ya all the things you want, and all the things you need, and may you be karmically rewarded for the fact that you're all tops.
Have a great one.
Wayde
p.s. i want a steam boy bike for xmas

Hope you had an awesome Christmas, and an equally good New Year.
Did santa bring you everything you wanted?
