Sonya and I decided that we'd stay home from church today for a couple of reasons. The chief is that she and I have both been having issues of fatigue recently, and so we decided that we should take the Sabbath for a day of rest rather than a day of public devotion.
Which is to say that we needed to catch up on sleep.
I have been doing so for a few days, and I feel much better for it. This is good, since I am about to hit the last headlong rush on my teaching schedule before the short break. I am also picking up steam on the dissertation writing, which had been slacking off because I have been flat-ass tired. When I would work on the project, I'd find myself being sloppy and making stupid mistakes.
When I do, it's usually a sign to lay off for a while.
But I do feel much better for having taken a few days more or less off. So I should be able to get back to things well enough.
Lord knows I need to.
