Sonya and I are back in Texas for the holidays and the wedding. Right now, Sonya is out in Willow City at her family's ranch, the C-Bar (seriously, you can look it up), and I am in my parents' house in Kerrville. It is nice to be getting a bit of rest in the lead-up to the wedding.
In a bit less than two weeks, I'll be getting married. It is becoming a bit of an intimidating prospect, even though pretty much everything is laid out at this point. The church is booked, as are the preacher and the organist. Floral and cakes are set. The reception hall is booked and the band is set up. Catering is in the final stages of deciding. Dress is fitted. Tuxes and suits are ready to go.
So, yeah, things are pretty much set up.
They are also more or less set up for once we get back to New York City. My spring teaching schedule is already established (it's the same as it was in the fall). This is good, since it helps me make my budget. Between what will be married life and the beginning of my student loan repayments (and oh! so many of them), I think I'll need all the help with that that I can get...
