Sonya and I joined the Church of the Village today. It was a nice little ceremony, and it will help us to start our pre-marital counseling this week.
I must admit that I am quite frankly surprised by the amount of religious activity that goes on in New York City, even considering the immensity of its population. Typically, I had associated New York with exceptionally liberal ideals, and I have tended to associate liberality with secularity, so that NYC (by simple syllogism) became very much secular in my mind.
Such is not the case. And, since it has offered me quite a bit of community, I am glad to have been wrong in this case.
I am not often so happy to be in error.
I am also happy to be starting up in the AEG Winter Court pbp game. Nerdy, yes, but I look forward to having quite a bit of fun and maybe getting some things set up that future players of the game will have to account for. Always fun.
Now, though, back to work.
