Okay, I'm not so damned tired this time as I was yesterday when I posted; I had driven in from home, which meant seven solid hours of me sitting on my ass in the car, feeling my left leg go numb and my back start to cramp. Now I'm in front of my computer in the little cave I call my dorm room, typing away at this and other correspondences I keep before I go and run the errands I need to before I get really and truly back to work in the Department.
I'm actually looking forward to getting back to work; the week off left me relaxed and rested. I feel reinvigorated physically and mentally, and thus think it time to get back to doing what it is that I seem to exist to do: be a nerd.
I'm at it right now, actually; blogging isn't exactly far removed from nerdhood, regardless of who does it, and I've got other windows open on which I am working with other, far nerdier communities of which I am part. I talk with gamers and geeks and am one of each myself, though not in the oldest sense of the latter word (thank you, Melissa).
It might be interesting, though, to bite the heads off of chickens...just to try it.
I've seen people do less intelligent things. Maybe not often, but I have seen it happen.
