Okay, been a few days since the Warlord has updated the journal. It's time to do so now, helps to wash off the taint of hick that still seems to be clinging to me.
That might beg a bit of explaining. I went to a White Trash Bash for April Fool's day. It was fun, actually, more so than most parties I've been to.
Not that I've been to too many parties, though. It has only been in this last year, my first in graduate school, that I've been to any at all, and friends of mine tell me that the parties here in Acadiana are, well, lame compared to elsewhere.
I'll take their words for it, having for myself no standard of comparison. I'm not here for partying anyway.

I don't necessarily think that Acadiana parties are lame (because I have been to some good parties), just that most nerds don't know how to throw a party.
Which is a shame. I love a nerd who knows how to party (see Husband, who qualifies himself as being a "geek," rather than a "nerd," but the same rules apply).
Of course, this is contingent on my being able to schedule in time to "party."
God, I am such a freakin' nerd.
you ARE here for the partying!
oh.
and the medieval stuff.
