Sonya and I spent a wonderful little day together yesterday. The service at the Church of the Village was quite nice, and we may take on the job of collecting the Good News people have to give. It will be nice to hear about small triumphs and victories instead of the litany of bad things that pervades most of what we get to hear.

Sonya and I are back in New York, but it seems that the hasty trip to Texas has taken a toll.
We are behind. And we are fatigued.
We are also working on getting both corrected. But it seems that our being tired is allowing things to happen to our bodies that we'd rather not have happen--and rather not discuss in detail, thanks.

Sonya and I will attend her grandmother's funeral this upcoming week. We fly out of New York today, and we'll return Wednesday.
Sonya's grandmother, Chricencia Castaeda, was hospitalized after suffering a stroke. The doctors are trying to determine the extent of the thing, but as yet, things do not look good for her.
Sonya and I are praying for her. We ask that our friends and loved ones join us in this.

Sonya and I are back in Texas for the holidays and the wedding. Right now, Sonya is out in Willow City at her family's ranch, the C-Bar (seriously, you can look it up), and I am in my parents' house in Kerrville. It is nice to be getting a bit of rest in the lead-up to the wedding.

Sonya is on the mend from whatever little bug laid her out on Friday. We're still not going to make it to church today, but she is markedly improved from yesterday. We should be able to get on our way to the Texas Hill Country on Tuesday without any problems.
Unless they come from the weather. We had our first substantial snowfall of the...

I realize that I missed my regularly scheduled blog posting yesterday; I was busy.
The Church of the Village had its usual Christmas Pageant yesterday morning, and I participated in it. As might be expected, I was far from being the focal character. I was not Jesus, and neither was I Mary (happily), Joseph, shepherd, nor magus.
No, I was King Herod.
Admittedly, I made...

Sonya and I hosted a little get-together last night. It was a resounding success, certainly, but it did last until entirely too early in the morning. As a result, we've missed church again, which is a bit of an annoyance, since we like the Church of the Village. But we'll be going next week and the week after, for certain.

Okay, so, too long away, yes?
Not much to report. Still working. Semester is winding down. Thanksgiving was good.
Led off the Advent celebration at CotV today. Church now hitting us up for worship leading and suchlike. Sounds like fun.
I'll be preparing some kind of set of readings for my reading class. Wording is bad, I know.
Brain drained. Blech.
Having problems with saving...

Had an excellent day yesterday. Quiet. Productive. Long. Went to a party. Ate much. Drank much. Slept much. Ergo, stayed home today. Also good. Quiet. Not so productive. Probably going to be as long.
Nice time, though. Not complaining.

Sonya and I joined the Church of the Village today. It was a nice little ceremony, and it will help us to start our pre-marital counseling this week.
I must admit that I am quite frankly surprised by the amount of religious activity that goes on in New York City, even considering the immensity of its population. Typically, I had associated New York with exceptionally...
