insincerity needs to be a crime.

I hate that at funerals. When my dad died, people kept on asking me "Are you ok?" or saying "I'm sorry." I think the best thing someone could have done is to come up to me, and say something nice about my father instead of the usual cliches. I try to do that for others at funerals. It seems a lot more compassionate and sincere.

Insincerity is terrible... don't let the insincere people bring you down though.
