I find this so striking... we are conditioned to believe that attachment in love-- that if you love something, you want it fixed in your life forever. So we make empty promises rather than realizing that we can't own anyone and we can't know what the future holds for our relationships, all we can do is enjoy the beautiful moments of life as they come. :)
