To the one I love:
My head emerges from the water
A shroud of mist clings to the lake
From here I can see you
Curled up on the bank
Illumimated by the fire
We created with the sparks from our fingers
A blood red moon warming the night air.
I step naked from the waters grip
And move silently towards the fire
Sretching out beside you
Lying with my head in your lap.
You trace your fingers
Over the constellation of cicatrices
That cover my flesh
A sprawling motorway of desire,
Scars and scratches made
In the heat of passionate embrace,
And one by one they vanish.
With my canine insisors
I remove the last garment
That covers you
And breathe deep
Inhaling you into me
Like some potent opiate
My senses rush and coruscate
Our kisses become almost savage
Only the tendrness in your eyes
And the soothing balm of your caress
Cooling my fevers.
Then we lie
Deep in each others arms
Our bodies glowing
Brighter than a thousand suns
Sighs emiting like notes of music
Buoyed upon the mist
And trickling to the stars.
My head emerges from the water
A shroud of mist clings to the lake
From here I can see you
Curled up on the bank
Illumimated by the fire
We created with the sparks from our fingers
A blood red moon warming the night air.
