some people always lie steal and cheat
trying to stay cool under high heat
they cleverly execute slick sneaky plots
anxiety tying my stomach in knots
pondering over their deceitful urges
tossing and turning until sunrise emerges
i know that im hungry but why cant i eat?
why cant i focus and why can't i sleep?
but all of these problems are simply external
i can't control them and they're not eternal
my thoughts and feelings, those things are mine
just keep imagining everythings fine
channel my energy away from the anger
sit back and watch as my heart escapes danger
knowing that this world is here JUST FOR ME
who i was who i am and who someday i'll be
and all of a sudden it starts to make sense
no sadness, discomfort, worries or suspense
so SMILE! its easy and so undemanding
reaches out and fills others with true understanding
everyones included, the effort is joint
because all of our energies unite at some point
positive people must all come together
even in darkness and stormy weather
we are the ones who will always make it
while conniving losers always try to take it
weakness will follow trouble and strife
while power belongs to those who know how to live life.
