My blog is a bit late, but I definitely did not forget about the celebration! It’s hard to believe that SG has been around for 19 years now. As someone who has been a member of the site for a lot of those years, I’ve definitely seen a lot of changes through the progression of the site.
Over the years, I have made countless friends through this site. All of my closest friends are people I’ve either met through this site or friends of people I’ve met through this site.
Shoutout to @reed and @loveless who are two of the best friends I could ever ask for. They’re always there for me without question and their friendship and love means the world to me.
A few years back, I started regularly photographing sets for SG. I went to school for photography and it’s always been a passion of mine. When I was just starting to shoot for SG, I had the opportunity to work with some amazing ladies who’s trust and faith in me was crucial to where I am now. I will forever be grateful to everyone who has put their trust in me as a photographer and allowed me to capture their beauty.
I was eventually asked to be a non-staff trusted photographer a few years ago and now It’s hard to believe I’ve had 14 Sets of The Day now (three of which aren’t live yet)! It’s been an amazing journey for sure. I’ve had the opportunity to help a few ladies turn pink along the way too and that’s a really great thing too. I love being a small part of helping someone achieve their dreams and goals.
As someone how makes an effort to stay BEHIND the camera, I rarely ever get or take photos of myself. But, in honor of SG’s birthday celebration here are some highlights and fun times from over the last few years:
Shooting w/ @vaire and @reed is still one of the highlights of my time shooting for SG. I think they're both amazing ladies and I was a fan of both of them long before I had the chance to work with them. Every time I see this picture, it brings me the same level of happiness that I felt that day. I'm still beyond crushed that neither of those sets ever made it to the front page, but I really hope that I have the opportunity to grace the front page with both @reed and @vaire one day in the future.
Cannabis Cafe Grand Opening w/ @reed was so much fun! We are best friends, huge stoners and love smoking together and enjoying good food. It was the perfect day and the perfect location!
I got to have Disneyland adventures w/ @loveless last year when I took her to Disneyland for the first time since she was a little kid. We had as much fun as little kids and spent the day running all over the park, sneaking vape hits and hotboxing my car with a huge joint that made my car stink for two weeks. 😂
Birthday dinner sushi w/ @Maud ! Not only did this angel fly to LA just so I didn't have to celebrate my birthday alone, she even got the sushi place to dim the lights and sing me happy birthday too! I've always had so much respect for @Maud and her creative energy and work ethic. This trip we also shot for SG and one of those sets was recently on the front page too.
There were a lot of people who believed in me early in my career. @asami was a huge supporter and great friend to me when I was first starting out. Although we've lost touch over the years, I will always be grateful for her support.
@sophoulla fast became a dear friend of mine. The first time I met her, I picked her up for a photo shoot and she was crying. We started talking about what was bothering her and it felt like talking to an old friend. She's an amazing soul and I'm just crushed that Covid has kept us apart this year. We had so many joints, burgers and fun adventures last year! These pictures are from San Diego pride and the last night we saw each other...my friend taking the picture told us to close our eyes and think about what it would be like next time we get to hang...I can't wait for that day to happen.
@Hadley was one of the first hopefuls who ever hired me to shoot her set for SG. She's been a great friend and supporter over the years!
@penny has to be one of the most amazing humans I've ever met! She's an absolute doll, has a black heart of gold, is SUPER hard-working and ALWAYS supportive. I'm so glad to know her and have her friendship in my life. This Instax was shot right after we met and shot for the first time.
This group photo sums up my feelings about SG! All of these lovely souls came to me through SG too! Top left is my best friend Alex and you'll also notice the lovely @Maud @milenci @penny and @reed too.
Happy 19th Birthday SG! Thanks for all the memories and I can't wait for all the new memories to be made too! A huge thanks to @missy and @Sean for creating such an amazing community and to @rambo and all of the amazing staff that help make the community what it is.
