Two (of MANY) things I do not miss about living in Houston Texas.
1. Humid heat from hell
2. Hurricanes
I do however miss my family. They live South East of Houston... right in the line of fire for Ike. My brother and his family live in the mandatory evacuation zone, so they are going to stay with grandma about 90 miles away. I really hope my parents and siblings don't try to ride this one out. They evacuated for Rita and sat in their cars stopped on the highways for hours... Rita did no damage to Houston so my dad sort of felt it was a waste. God I hope they get out of there!
