im not sure what the average wage here is but ive been here for about 6 years and i just got a job that pays about 24,000 a year and thats by far the best paying job ive had since i left california. but still on that pay i couldnt even think about buying a house right now. cost of living here is so inflated (as im sure it is everywhere) its ridiculous.
