Well, it's time for my weekly weekendly update, only a day late, sorry (who am I talking to?!)
Anyway. I was FORCED to drive up to Malvern on Friday night because Jamie had band practice on Saturday. The traffic was dead, which was nice, and I got there quickly, and my tape player in my car actually worked the whole way! Wooooo! (it's 99% rubbish usually). I miss the boy so badly during the week (as anyone who reads this will know) and even though he was with me until tuesday it was still meh and I spent the journey wishing I had a magical watch, like the kid in that show, so I could stop time and travel up. Only I realised if I did have one, i'd probably use it all the time, and by the time I'm 30 I'll probably have lived twice as long and then Jamie would dump me for having grey pubes and wrinkles, thus defeating the point of having one........
Aaaaaanyway. Saturday was fun, we drove over to Brum for the practice where I sat with my ear plugs and read cheap women's mags (brought by another band girlfriend) which made me instantly happier about my own life. I mean my boy isnt going to run off with my mum or murder my best friend...I hope! Then my boy bought some new Converse which look ultra sexy.
The evening was great, we watched Doctor Who (which was cool) and the live Quatermass show on BBC4, which was also ok, though Jamie spotted one fuck up of lines and apparently you could hear him fall over in one bit though we missed that. Later, we...er...made the most...of his parents being out at the theatre.
Sunday we bummed about some and we'd made plans to go to a lovely Mexican place called Chesters in Worcester and then go to see Ring 2 in der Kino. Sadly, we forgot to check that chesters would be open on Sunday, and it wasn't. Bah. So we went to this other Mexican (looked like a chain a la Pizza Express, not pikey, but not the epitome of gourmet) place. But despite Jamie pointing out that his Californain friends would have pissed themselves laughing at it, the food was nice, and cheaper than Chesters (though you got more for your money there) I mean Californians can afford to be snobby about Mexican food! I am not bothered if it's "authentic" it was really tasty! And my lovely boy paid too. He is so awesome. The waiter forgot our coffees, and so we got them free. Brucie Bonus!
Then we went to the Ring 2. It was OK, not as good as the first american remake (which I preferred to the original) and i havent seen the 2nd Japanese one. It had some good jumpy moments but the effects were'nt as good, but all in all worth it I'd say.
I got an extra night with my baby cos I had yesterday off to take my car to the garage for its service and MOT. Fingers crossed, touch wood, kiss the Blarney stone. It hasn't let me down much here's hoping it's ok. My Dad picked me up and I had a nice dinner at theirs before being driven home to the sounds of yet another argument with my Mum about tattoos and me getting a new job. "Well does Jamie have any tattoos?" No, but that's not through want of trying, it's to do with money. "Well I think you'll regret it, I mean I've changed loads throughout my life". Yes Mum. You went from being a suit and twinsetnpearls wearing Young conservative to a spiritual holistic healer with blue hair. Trust me when I say I will never go the other way. I don't care anyway. If I regret it I'll deal with it then. But I don't think I will.
So that was it really. I'm back at work now. My baby was being interviewed for the local rag yesterday and having his picture taken today. It may only be the Malvern Gazette, but I am so proud of him. The ball is rolling, and it's rolling up all the way.
Love you baby.
In other news, last night I couldn't sleep cos I had a brainwave about what to do with some of my furniture to make more room in the flat. And a friend of mine is on the advert for the new Derren Brown show. He's at the end saying "everyone has to get Derren Brown'd at least one in their lives" or somehing. Lucky git! I want to be Derren Browned! Hope my SGers are well on this sunny Tuesday!

Hope you three had as gooder time as I did. I loved it, I was dead happy with that gig; and while the new stuff was good, they played an excellent mix.
