So, I think it might be time for an update...what the hell have I been dong since Thursday....
Well, Thursday night was my work's Comic Relief fund raising night with bingo, and a pub quiz. Happy hour meant that all drinks were a pound, so by the time the quiz started we were all fairly twatted. I cheated outrageously by calling my mum to find out the answers to some of the questions, but the music and picture rounds were a different matter. We ended up in about 3rd place or so, which was quite good I thought!
However, by the time I left I was so pissed I can't remember getting to the train station, I think instinct took over to get me on the right train home, and after stumbling back about twice the normal time it takes me to walk home, I passed out and had to go to work the next day
I also called McK about 9 times, but thankfully he chose not to pick up about 6 of those times!
Due to waking in the early hours and taking pills and water, by the time I had to get up I was relatively ok. Though I did make myself sick before bed, which was probably a smart move. I hate chucking!
Friday night my lovely boy came down and we went to the video shop and watched Resident Evil apocolypse. Jamie quite rightly thought it was like watching a film with a fever, because nothing made any sense. But never mind. Milla was in it, after all, so it was worth the money!
Saturday we got up lateish and bummed about, went into town for food for lunch and got another DVD for the evening, this time Saw (). We were due to go over to my friend Gemma's for dinner so she could meet Jamie and pass her judgement on him! So we arrived at 8, having had our lunch many hours earlier. Now Jamie is blessed with a super fast metabolism that leaves him famished about an hour after any meal, so imagine our surprise when not a word was mentioned about dinner, not even a cup of tea and biscuits was offered to us. After watching Saw I'm sure not eating may have been a good thing, but still. She is normally the epitome of a good host, offering me food and sweets when I've already had my dinner. Never mind. I'm sure it was just an over sight on her part. But Jamie had practically died of malnutrition when we left at 11, and I cooked him food when we got in!
Sunday, pretty much the same, only we took back Saw, which had about 20 minutes lost in the middle cos of a scratch (so it didn't make that much sense really) and we got a free rental out of it. We got Dodgeball. Amazing. Can't believe I havent seen it before! "I just threw up in my mouth a little bit"! Genius.
And I cooked us lots of healthy food and fat-free biscuits this weekend, and despite eating the same amount as usual, I lost a pound. So, one down and 9 to go! How exciting!
The boy left yesterday, I feel slightly bereft, but it's only 2 more full days till I see him again!
Hope all is well in SGland.
