Ok, here's proper update, though BEWARE. I have done fuck all of any interest, so it might be boring!
Last week consisted of valentines, which I reported on already, and work, which was made infinitely more bearable by the arrival of the quarterly wonder known as The Sample Sale! This is where our Buying and Merchandising department sell off everything they've been hoarding (this time in aid of the Tsunami Appeal) from items bought from proper high street shops to rip off, millions of sizing and style sample from manufacturers, sample stock from the warehouse, and a million and one other bits of clothing, from shoes to bags, to accessories. The first day I only got a pair of leather ballet shoes for my friend (sadly sample shoe size is 7, and photosamples are a 4, she's a 4, I'm an 8 ). The second day, things were half price (from like 2 and under an item the day before), and I got some tracksuit bottoms for slobbing in for 50p each (the kind of thing I wear every day, yet am loathe to buy from shops as they never leave the house, excpet when I'm being reeeeeeeeeeeally lazy), a skirt for 50p and a top for 20p. Today, every item in the place was 10p. I got 2 pairs of jeans, several skirts, a couple of tops and it came to a grand total of 90p. Woo ha!
Yeah so anyway, this weekend was ok, I cried and cried the whole time about not seeing my lovely boy (not really). Well I was very sad, but he was doing much needed work and I was doing some much needed catching up. Friday night I met Gemma at her Dad's where she has to go and feed, bath and do his washing (he has Alzheimers), and he always tells me he's looking for a new wife, though he can't remember my name. It's good he still recognises me though. Me being there gave her an excuse to get away quickly, which is nice because even though she loves him, it's very trying, and even when he's on good form, his repetitive conversations are difficult to cope with. So we went off to hers and I gave her her 2 shoes (of which she has a pair in pink she paid 35 for) and watched some crap telly, including Eastenders one hour special, and ate cheesecake. She told me about the boys she has chasing her and the creepy valentines she got sent to her workplace. She fell asleep at about 10.30, as she always does and I chatted to her boyfriend before heading off home at 12, stopping at tesco's. I love it at that time.
Saturday, boring start, cleaning, went into Walton. Came back and Hannah came over about 3. We had tea and gossiped about boyfriends and her trip round the world, and San Diego in the Summer. I cut her hair for her, and though she asked me to take off 2 inches of fried frizzy crap off the ends, she kept going "AArgh it's so short!" So I felt bad at first. But it looked so much healthier, and I blended her layers together cos she's trying to grow them out. I even did a perfect diagonal fringe/front bit. I was so proud, and she said that despite the shortness she loved it. We buggered off to Kingston where I had a drink with her and "The Skaters" a bunch of fairly immature 20 something boys who revert to primitive man when girls appear and I couldnt handle it for long. Especially this short ugly guy called Porno, who, though he had absolutely nothing to say to me insists on trying to talk to me every 2 minutes with "fleur fleur, wake up" if I yawned or "don't be antisocial" if I was texting. He's an amazingly funny funny guy when you're in the mood, but I was missing my boy, and completely not in the mood!
I went off home, in the snow!! and dyed my hair, what was supposed to be Blue/Black, but was actually just black, which stained my bath and seeing as how the colour was wrong too, I won't be bothering with that brand again. At least it was only too black, and not...burgundy or something
Oh, and I forgot! I've started doing my hair all curly, which several people have told me they like more than my straightened hair! Who'd have thought it! I can't afford a haircut, so this is kind of a nice change.
This is me trying out my new BRIGHT RED lippy that is so unremoveable, it's even hard to get off with makeup remover!
Yesterday I helped man my Mum's stand at the Mind Body and Spirit event at Kempton Park. Lots of stands doing healing, holistic stuff, tarot, fortune telling, health food, clothes, aromatherapy, books, natural moisturiser creams etc, crystals and so on. It was a tiring day, standing up and talking to people, trying to sell her stuff, and explain what weird and wonderful healing therapies my aunt teaches, but it was ok. I found out about some really good products I might try for my face, and supplements I could take and stuff. And I will get a bit of money.
I cam home, got a call from Hannah saying how in the light of day she realised she loved the hair! and I got an IM from one of her housemates saying I had amazing scissor skills, so that was nice. Anyone need else need a haircut?
But now I'm tired! And I don't want it to be Monday. Wow, this is ong. I'm going to be counting the days till I see my baby. Only 4 and a half to go! I can't WAIT!
Hope y'alls is well, thanks to all 30 of you! who took my test! Grand firat prize to Burning_in_h2o who only got one wrong, God knows how you managed that! And the wooden spoon to Forkandles who got none!
Many kisses to you all!
